About Me

For over a decade, I’ve studied the standard percussion repertoire with a fascination for all areas of percussion. I balance my appreciation for standard repertoire written by established composers like Askell Masson, Iannis Xenakis, and Keiko Abe with active promotion of new repertoire by emerging composers like Coral Douglas, Yeonsuk Jung, and Szu-An Chen.

On a personal note, I like to cook delicious vegan foods, ride my bike, listen to music, make art, and spend time too much time looking at animals.

Musical Purpose

My musical purpose is to promote creativity and compassion through music. Whether I’m teaching or performing, I want my music to make people feel inspired or challenged to think differently. Through music, reality can be temporarily suspended to allow performers and listeners alike to consider new perspectives.

By making music together, people build friendships as they become more creative and collaborative.
